PhaseThree is a detailed model of the MuTron Bi-Phase, with all the lovely sound of that unit (along with its foibles and quirks.) It is worth noting that, due to aging factors, no two Bi-Phase hardware units sound alike; we found the best and most tuneful one we could lay our hands on, bought it for a faintly ridiculous price, and took it apart to see what made it tick. Like you do.
The result is a painstaking digital copy of the original unit, down to the unique sweep of its LFOs. With the latest version, we have departed from the original and added 12-stage phasors in addition to the six-stage versions found in the hardware units. (We feel that 12-stage phasors have a more modern sound that people expect in a current phasor, and that the six-stage versions in the original were somewhat lacking to the modern palette.)

A true powerhouse of audio warfare, Grind puts the “damage” in Audio Damage. From subtle tube-style saturation to full-on mangled wavetable distortion, Grind is a Swiss Army Knife of sound design.
Grind consists of three main blocks: wavetable lookup, in to algorithmic saturation/distortion/, and finally to a multi-mode filter. The wavetable module uses the amplitude of the incoming signal to replace the sample with one from 15 different linearly-interpolated wavetables, chosen for their mangling potential. Window size and phase controls provide further tone-shaping possibilities.
The next stop is the algorithm module, with eleven different distortion and saturation algorithms, from simple soft-knee saturation on up to full on sine warping.
After this, the signal passes through a multi-mode filter stage, with eleven different filter models to choose from, including “vintage digital” versions from the early days of plugin development, on up to our modern analog-modeled MS20-style lowpass and highpass synth filters. A tempo-synced LFO provides motion for the filter frequency, and a final stage of soft clipping and DC filtering tames the output.
Make no mistake: this is not a subtle, polite tool. With careful tuning of the provided presets, it can be tamed to normal filtering and saturation duties, but on the whole, it is a noisy, snorting beast of a plug-in, and is happiest with Full Metal audio destruction.
Audio Damage has updated its Grind wavetable distortion and sound-shaping plugin for Windows, Mac and iOS.
Version 1.1 features a redesigned GUI with a new font for better legibility. Some controls were moved so that the interface better matches the signal flow.
Grind has been rebuilt with all current SDKs and a problem was fixed where filter type wasn’t reloading correctly. Note that any existing saves with previous versions will resolve to 4PLP filter until you re-save the session.

The Attack parameter controls the strength of the detected transients.
A high attack will increase the perceived attack of an instrument, giving the impression of a high velocity note being played.
A low attack will give the opposite effect.
Sustain
The Sustain parameter controls the strength of the detected sustained signal post-transient.
A high sustain will increase the amplitude of the sustain portion of the signal, allowing you to increase the decay of the source.
A low sustain will give the opposite effect.
2X
The 2X control doubles the effect of the respective Attack and Sustain controls.
Clip
Activates a clipper on the output of each respective section, which gives the output of Multi Transient a hard digital ceiling. This can be used to control the strength of the transients when the 2X switch is activated by clipping the transient if it gets too hot. For exaggerated clipped effects, push into the clipper using the Output control.
Output
Dials in the right amount of output gain using a linear output circuit.
Phase
Inverts the polarity of the plugin’s output.
Bypass
Brings Multi Transient in and out of bypass.
Mix
Blends between the completely dry signal and the output of the channel’s transient detection and shaping circuit. Allows you to find just the right overall blend of the shaped signal, or to create more subtle parallel transient shaping effects.

Emperor is part of our amplifier series, each of which brings a full guitar rig into one easy to use plugin!

Emperor is inspired by a proprietary blend of modern metal legends, with a brightness and chunk that can cut through the heaviest mixes.
Combined with a flexible pedal board and effects loop, as well as our Virtual Cabinet with optional IR loader, Emperor makes it easy to craft the perfect tone quickly!
Layout
Emperor uses an intuitive layout that mimics the familiar setup of most guitar rigs, making it a breeze to use at all skill levels! The top panel features a noise gate to reduce noise problems, as well as the Stomp, Amp, and Cab sections, followed by a linear output control.

Amp Section
The heart and soul of Emperor is a two channel high gain monster!
Emperor defaults to Channel 1, which features parameters for Gain, Bass, Mid, and Treble.
Channel 2 features parameters for Gain, Bass, Mid, Treble, and Presence.
Both channels clean up quite well at low gain settings, but neither will go fully clean. This allows for a versatile palate of tones, from crunchy rhythm to djent. If you want lush clean tones, Emperor isn’t for you.
Included “ON” switch allows you to bypass the Emperor amp head, allowing you to just use the Stomp or Cab sections if desired.
Each parameter in the Amp section can be automated, allowing for customization and flexibility!

Stomp Section
The Stomp section features 5 pedal slots, allowing you to choose between any combination of Emperor’s 10 included guitar pedals.
Optional FX Loop allows you to place any pedal in the effects loop of Emperor’s amp head, allowing the pedal to process the output signal of Emperor instead of the input signal.
Each pedal in the Stomp section can be automated, allowing for customization and flexibility!

Boost: Adds a treble boost to the signal, controllable with one single knob!
Screamer: Based on a legendary green overdrive pedal, Screamer can be used as a clean treble boost or to add overdrive!

Distortion: A two parameter distortion unit that takes you from mild overdrive to nasty fuzzy metal tones!

Tremolo: Not just for surf rock anymore, this Tremolo pedal will add movement and contrast to your tone!
Doubler: Not just a slight delay, this doubler splits the signal in two and changes the shape of one of them to create a convincing double tracked effect!
Delay: A flexible delay unit that is capable of adding depth and space to your tone!
Reverb: A sinfully simple, yet flexible reverb unit that is great for emulating small spaces or infinite drones!
Auto-Wah: A Wah pedal with character! Using the Sensitivity control to switch between Auto and Manual modes, and the resonance control to choose how strong the Wah effect will be! Rocking the pedal back and forth will change the pivot point in Auto mode, and will allow you to manually perform the Wah pedal using your mouse or a midi controller!

The Cab section utilizes our virtual cab technology to deliver the feel and microdynamic movements of a real speaker in a real room! The virtual cabinet section features a virtual microphone that you can move to find the sweet spot and perfect your tone, and allows you to choose from 4 microphone and cabinet models! The included HP and LP filters help shape the output to fit perfectly in your mix. Use the Distance control to adjust the proximity of the microphone to the cabinet. ‘Massive EDM Drops Vol 1’ includes MIDI files for every lead and synth heard in each Kit, allowing you to seamlessly mix your favourite synths and samplers with the sounds contained in the pack.

While the supplied ACID/WAV content is extremely flexible and powerful, MIDI has the added benefit of allowing you to go to extremes of pitch and tempo beyond which the loops were originally recorded, with no time stretching or pitch shifting artefacts. Furthermore, you can make tweaks to the riffs so they fit perfectly into your existing mixes.
Dry/Wet Loops:
For users looking to simply drag and drop, the ‘wet’ files contain all of the effects processing heard in the audio demos. But for producers looking to create their own effects mix, ‘dry’ loops are also included. Don’t like the wet loops? No problem, add your own effects.
